Yes. The recommended first version uses a private iCal feed from the owner’s other calendar platforms. It refreshes periodically rather than instantly, so the team still confirms availability before payment. A later version can add direct APIs and webhooks.

How are referrals and commissions handled?

Every inquiry should carry a listing ID and referral code. The owner confirms whether it became a completed stay, and both sides reconcile an agreed referral fee on a monthly statement.

Does the site hold guest money?

The initial release is a request-and-confirm workflow. It should not be described as escrow or payment protection until a formal payment provider, refund policy, and operating process are connected.
